Our history

Micos opened its doors in 2003 with the firm purpose of offering quality education based on Christian values and respect for each child.

Throughout these years, we have had the opportunity to train many children, accompanying them in their first steps towards learning and helping them in the formation of their identity.

Thanks to a committed teaching team and a happy and caring atmosphere, we ensure that each child feels valued, accompanied and motivated in their educational process.

We have many families who trust our individualised approach to education, where each child receives the attention they need to develop at their own pace.

Our mission: to offer an integral academic, emotional and spiritual education, forming people with solid values and hearts full of respect for others.

OUR VALUES

From our point of view, values education is fundamental for the complete development of children, constituting the basis on which human relationships, coexistence and emotional and social growth are built.

We foster an environment in which each child learns, through example and daily experience, values such as respect, empathy, responsibility, solidarity, tolerance and honesty. These values are worked on transversally in all the activities, both in moments of play and in daily routines, projects, stories, songs, games and group dynamics.

Our team accompanies children by helping them to recognise their emotions, to put themselves in the place of others and to act in a conscious and respectful way. We believe that every small gesture counts: sharing a toy, asking for forgiveness, listening attentively or helping a classmate are acts that reinforce the learning of values day by day.

We promote this Education in Values with several wonderful projects that we are very proud of.

Volunteering at the Residencia San Juan de Dios. Our 3rd year Infant pupils visited a group of elderly people who live in the San Juan de Dios Residence. It is an activity that encourages respect, empathy and solidarity, and at the same time we bring joy to our friends at the San Juan de Dios Residence.

Collaboration with the Khanimambo Foundation. The pupils in the 2nd and 3rd year of the second cycle are in contact with pupils of their age from the Munti Centre in Mozambique. We maintain a correspondence and each child is assigned a Pen Pal with whom they exchange letters. It is an activity that fosters empathy and solidarity and we get the children 100% involved in the cause.

Campaigns to collect food and toys, in which we make children aware of the different realities that exist.

In short, at Micos we educate from the heart, convinced that to sow values in our students is to cultivate a more just, humane and caring future.
